Our catfish is freshly caught from Nigerian rivers, expertly smoked over wood fires, and dried to create a product with incredible depth of flavor. The smoking process imparts a rich, aromatic quality that elevates any dish. Unlike fresh fish, dried catfish has a concentrated, intense flavor that builds the foundation of great soups. The firm, flaky texture holds up beautifully during long cooking times. Essential for Pepper Soup, Banga Soup, Ofe Nsala (white soup), and Fisherman’s Soup. High in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin D. Our catfish is cleaned and cut into convenient portions – usually headless steaks or cutlets that are easy to portion and use.
